Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology. The Electrical segment offers wiring devices; lighting fixtures and controls; outlet boxes, enclosures, and fittings; holding devices; hazardous location application products; and telecommunications products. The Power segment engages in the design and manufacture of electrical transmission and distribution products; line construction materials, including power-installed foundation systems and earth anchors, and pole line hardware comprising galvanized steel fixtures and extruded plastic materials. This segment also provides construction tools and accessories for building overhead and underground power, and telephone lines, as well as helical and resistance piering products. The Industrial Technology segment offers high voltage test and measurement equipment, heavy-duty electrical and radio control products, and specialized communications systems, as well as material handling, conveyer control and monitoring equipment, gas detection equipment, emergency warning lights, and sounders primarily for the mining industry. Hubbell Incorporated serves electrical distributors and wholesalers, electric utilities, equipment manufacturers, electrical contractors, telephone operating companies, and retail and hardware outlets.
