We are a global organisation that develop students and recent graduates into leaders by running international exchange programme. Our aim is to empower other young people like us to develop their skills so that they can change the world for the better. Our core activities are focused on activating youth leadership through facilitating a global exchange scheme that provides challenging, cultural work placements for students and recent graduates.
We envision peace and fulfilment of humankind's potential. Our international platform enables young people to explore and develop their potential to provide leadership for a positive impact on society.
AIESEC members are encourages to create their own AIESEC Experience.
It reflects a journey of development through our organisation, a pathway of opportunities for skill development and life experience. By joining AIESEC you will go through the AIESEC Experience. Through each of these stages, members identify with our mission and vision, learn how to access all of the opportunities available to them and then drive thier own learning and development.
Members are immediately encouraged to take on responsibility within the orgnisation.
Then, they may fulfil a leadership role and/ or complete an international work placement.
Finally, each individual reflects on his or her personal and professional growth and how to best capitalise on their achievements for their future ambitions.
As you build your experience you can start leading your own team and/or go work abroad. We encourage all members to use the opportunities that are available to them in the global network! Working abroad is one of the most powerful experiences in AIESEC and when you return you will find out for yourself just how much you will have grown by overcoming the challenges of living and working in a different culture.
We are looking for students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Our members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. We embrace diversity and encourage all students of all backgrounds and degrees to get involved! We are based in 24 universities across the UK and even if your university is not listed you can participate by contacting your nearest committee.
