Leaders for business: Developing talented people in management skills across the business.

The general management programme is designed to equip people with a complete range of management capabilities they can apply anywhere across British Airways. The reason is simple, the speed at which the business moves means their needs can change from year to year. BA is constantly being faced with new challenges, sometimes they strike at the very core of how the business operates. They therefore need intelligent people with the enthusiasm, drive and flexibility to learn about the business so they can adapt to change as challenges arise.

Although their recruitment needs vary according to the demands of the business, it's possible to join at all levels; whether you're a school leaver interested in taking up an apprenticeship or a professionally qualified graduate with several years' experience.

Engineering schemes: Supporting a 300-strong fleet of aircraft making an average of 1,000 flights a day draws on the skills of around 9,000 people from a huge variety of engineering and business related backgrounds. Graduate Engineers are recruited directly into Engineering departments, primarily Aircraft Maintenance and Powerplant. They are currently looking for Graduates who have achieved at least a 2:1 in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Undergraduates interested in an Industrial Placement year with an engineering and business focus are generally based within the Supply Chain business. You may be interested in the Professional Engineer Programme.
