Once a demonised profession, guilty of polluting cities, brainwashing citizens and using subliminary messages to manipulate children, marketing has transformed itself.
Today charities, governments, NGOs and artists are all relying on marketing and advertising to bring their message out, giving the profession a whole different dimension.

Then social media flipped mass communication upside down, having advertisers, used to broadcast, facing two-way channels, needing to replace monologue with dialogue.
One thing hasn't changed though: successful marketing and advertising have always combined the "science" of developing winning products or services with the "art" of creative strategy and implementation.
Which basically means that analytical skills can be as successful as Don Draper's creative insights. Or perhaps a bit of both?
