What sets Fidelity apart is our attention to detail – our investment intelligence. As a leading investment management company, we make considered judgements about which organisations to invest in around the world, to benefit our clients. It’s an approach that’s made us the world's investment specialist. Our Analysts visit organisations, talk to the people on the ground and develop their understanding of investment opportunities. And our portfolio managers invest money on behalf of our clients in equities, bonds, funds and property companies, using their judgement, knowledge and market expertise to enable clients’ money to grow. In fact, the value of assets that we manage on behalf of clients around the world is over US$179 billion1.As an independent company, we enjoy the scope to be entrepreneurial, fresh-thinking and ahead of the game. So, when you join Fidelity, you'll be encouraged to think for yourself and constantly move forward, learning by doing from day one. Opportunity will be all around you and it will be up to you to seize it. If you share our global outlook, entrepreneurial approach, dedication, insatiable curiosity, commitment to client growth and hunger for the next challenge, you can look forward to a rewarding and stimulating career. Our investment in our people pays dividends for us as a business, as well as for our clients. By developing quality people, we deliver quality products and client service. In fact, we manage close to a thousand different funds, which means we have something to suit every type of investor. The strength of these funds is rooted in the thoroughness of our research. In a typical year our Analysts could hold over 14,500 company meetings, producing over 40,000 pieces of research2. Our Customer Services team in Operations booked nearly 2.5 million client deals and received more than 800,000 phone calls in 2008. And in the same year our London trading desk executed over $300 billion worth of trades3.Our approach is consistently recognised in industry awards. At the Thomson Extel Awards (known as the ‘City Oscars’) in 2009, we were named Best Pan-European Fund Management Group for the eighth time in nine years. At the equivalent awards in the Asia/Pacific region, we were also voted Leading Asian Fund Management Firm 2008 for the second year running.

Team-working and non-hierarchical, our people have a can-do attitude, plenty of initiative and self-motivation, and they're dedicated and committed to doing the right thing for the client.
While you're considering which is the right company for you, you also need to be sure that you're the right person for us. Take a look at the qualities we look for in all our employees. If you can honestly and objectively say they describe you, then you'll be right for us.
We select candidates who are strategic thinkers, future orientated, conceptual, flexible and resourceful. But at the same time we expect you to be tactical, present focussed, practical, structured and tenacious. We look at how each person contributes to our goals and reward their achievement well, enabling them to flourish as individuals. As well as financial rewards, you’ll enjoy plenty of opportunities for training and development and long-term career progression.
