Haniel is an internationally operating Group with four Corporate Divisions: Celesio, CWS-boco, ELG and TAKKT. They are each independently active in the trade and service industries – and they are all market leaders. Haniel also holds 34.2 per cent share in METRO AG.Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, the Holding Company, is responsible for Group-wide strategic and financial leadership as well as human resources development. Group headquarters have been located in Duisburg for more than 250 years. Haniel has also been a family-owned business for this length of time. However, there is a strict division between ownership and management: since the start of the 20th century, the shareholders (which today stands at over 600) assigned management of the company to external management.
To bring together the working day and private life, the Group enables its employees to organise their hours flexibly. The solutions are different for every personal and company situation.
