As a member of one of these teams you’ll not only use state-of-the-art Cadence and Synopsys verification and synthesis tools, but prototype in the latest Xilinx FPGAs and on the Cadence Palladium II Emulator. You’ll be involved in the complete design cycle – specification, architecture, RTL design, verification, physical implementation, fabrication, chip bring-up and validation. Work with latest fab processes and EDA design tools. RTL design in VHDL or Verilog. Perform verification including RTL simulation, gate simulation, static formal verification, formal equivalence checking and FPGA prototyping. And get involved with physical implementation including logic synthesis, static timing analysis, floorplanning, place and route, and chip sign-off. As a software design engineer working in our Technology division you’ll typically be involved in the complete design cycle of algorithm specification, simulation, implementation and validation. Areas of specialization include: drivers; system design and DSP algorithm development; drivers for a range of embedded systems such as mobile phones, media players, car navigation systems and digital radios; tools for Imagination’s innovative embedded processing architectures; and drivers and low-level APIs for a wide range of peripherals from MPEG decoders and display pipelines to I/O blocks. Software development is primarily in C/C++. OS support includes Linux, Symbian OS, Windows and WinCE. Pure Opportunities Just like our Technology division, PURE Digital needs individuals with passion, motivation and a desire to create the best. PURE roles include: Software development Hardware development Web development As a PURE hardware engineer you’ll be involved in the full product life cycle from inception, to development, approval and manufacture. Working closely with engineers from the Technology division, you’ll help define industry-leading technology for Imagination’s IP and then get the unique opportunity to use this technology first. And, of course, you’ll see the fruits of your labours in major retailers like John Lewis and Amazon Working as a software engineer for PURE you’ll be involved with analysis, design and specification; coding; test and debug; and documentation. The majority of the work is writing embedded software for consumer electronics products such as radios and micro-systems at UI, middleware and driver level, working closely with hardware engineers on hardware bring-up. Opportunities also exist for web/portal and database development. Software development is primarily in C and C++, with PHP for web and SQL for database development.
