Principal Software Engineer:

The Principal Software Engineer is the Technical Lead within the company’s’ core Product Engineering team responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from specification and concept, through technical design and architecture (working with the Chief Engineer), hands-on development, management of QA/testing and delivery of software products against clearly defined product specifications and the overall company product strategy.

The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible the end-to-end development and delivery of software products, platforms and related services, as well as mentoring and managing other Software Engineers and QA/Testers, both internal and through external outsourced service providers. Reporting into the COO as Product Director and working closely with the Chief Engineer as a design authority and on on-going R&D.

Currently Product/Service consists of a Desktop Windows Application delivered inside Microsoft Office that synchronises with a Hosted Platform via Web Services, but will evolve to include a Web Access Version, Web Apps and Mobile Apps.

Database Design with Microsoft SQL Server (from 2005 to 2008 R2, Express to Enterprise)

Web Services/XML based API’s (both internal and external facing)

Approximate Package:

  • £ 60,000 Salary per annum
