    The China Programme is a unique programme for future leaders of Unilever China. It’s a three-year programme aiming to develop you into a manager in your chosen business area. You’ll start the programme spending one to two years on the Future Leaders Programme in the UK, and then you’ll move to Unilever China and continue the programme, where you’ll immerse yourself in the Chinese business, based in Shanghai. We will be accepting applications for a number of business areas:

     

    • Marketing

    • Research & Development

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Human Resources

    • Financial Management

    What will I be doing?

    You will start a real job on the first day you join. The programme will provide you with insights into the business, continually test and develop your skills, build a firm foundation to kick-start your career and ensure you can make a genuine contribution.

    What do we look for?

    We are ideally looking for graduates who speak fluent Mandarin and have prior experience of Chinese culture and the right to work in China. We are looking for positive people capable of taking responsibility and those who have strong ethical values, get things done, can be themselves, and believe in teamwork.

    We accept all degree disciplines for each business area, except for Research & Development where there is a specific requirement. For R&D, you’ll need a strong technical qualification in either a Chemical, Biological, Physical or Food-related Science or in Chemical/Materials Engineering or a related discipline.

    What will the programme involve?

    You will work on assignments in the UK, in your chosen business area for one to two years and then you will move to Shanghai, China, where you’ll take an active role in our fast growing business. Upon successful completion of the programme at the end of the three years, you’ll become a manager in Unilever China.
