The many dedicated researchers in our labs and development centres have recorded numerous firsts. The Orange Livebox, for example, is the very latest in joined-up technology, offering broadband, internet phone calls and streaming television through a single, user friendly product. There are lots of other exciting things in the pipeline.

And it's not just our products and services that we're known for. We've got a strong heritage in film, having sponsored the BAFTAs for over 10 years, and our 'Orange Wednesdays' two-for-one offer is used by thousands of people every month.
We support new music acts with Orange Unsigned, trial new innovations and offer free phone charging at Glastonbury. In 2008 we launched Orange Rockcorps and gave gig tickets in exchange for four hours of voluntary work.
You'll find us at Rugby World Cups and on the covers of millions of books, with the annual Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction recognising the best female writers out there.

From the minute you come through the door on your first day, you'll realise how serious we are about supporting your personal development here at Orange. It all starts with your induction. From giving you the lowdown on our business strategy and values to introducing you to some of the people you'll be working with, it's designed to get you up to speed with Orange - fast. And make you feel right at home.
But your induction's just the beginning. As well as learning from the wealth of talented people you'll be working alongside, you'll have the chance to go on workshops, study for formal qualifications, do online training, attend courses and get one-to-one coaching. Retail and Customer Service
If you join one of our Retail or Customer Service teams, you'll get intensive training up front. It will give you the skills and confidence you need to make sure every customer you help has a brilliant experience. Once you've finished your official induction training and started your role, you'll still get loads of support from your Store Manager or Team Leader. Not to mention lots of help and encouragement from your team mates.

We'll support you to do a great job, but we also want to make sure that you get the recognition you deserve when you've done some brilliant work. Our Brilliant awards allow anyone to nominate a colleague for doing a great job and that person could win a day off work. We also have an annual Orange Stars award, with the top winners of the year getting £1,000 and a holiday.
We have some really loyal people and we reward them by making sure that the longer you're here the more holidays you get, with increased holiday allowance when you reach your 5 and 10-year anniversaries. We also hold Orange anniversary parties so the people that have been here a while can get together to celebrate and we can thank them and their partners for all their support.
talking to our people
As a communications company, we make sure we're really good at talking to our people. Every month we publish our very own newspaper, Orange News, filled with stories about what's going on around the company, what our customers are into and things our employees are getting up to.
We pride ourselves on a strong company strategy and make sure that everyone knows the company's plans and how their role contributes to our success, with regular updates from our CEO, Tom Alexander.
It's important that our communication goes both ways and we use People Poll, our employee survey, to measure how our people are feeling and areas where we could do better. We also have ECON, our employee consultation group, with representatives all around the company who support employees and meet regularly to discuss any issues with the Management team.

pay
For a start, we make sure we get the basics right and that means competitive pay that we regularly compare to other leading employers to make sure you're properly rewarded for the job you do.
bonus and commission
On top of that, every single employee receives either a bonus, or commission if you work in Sales or Stores. Monthly commission is based on your performance against targets. Bonuses are paid twice a year on the basis of how well you do and the performance of the company as a whole.
company car
If you're on the road or you've reached a certain grade, you'll be eligible for a company car, or a car allowance. We offer flexibility around the car you choose and you may have the ability to downgrade to get a cash allowance too.
Orange Offers
We want our employees to love our products and services as much as our customers do, so we give them discounted rates on phones and internet products, like broadband. We've created some phone plans especially for our employees and given them free broadband, just like our pay monthly customers. We also have an Orange Discounts shop, with exclusive access to online discounts.

Orange pays for comprehensive healthcare for all permanent employees, with additional cover available for your partner and children and the option of joining a dental top-up plan.
holidays and time off
Everyone at Orange gets 25 days' holiday (or pro rata if you work part time) and we also have a holiday buy and sell scheme so you have the opportunity to trade up to 5 days' holiday too. We've got great maternity and paternity schemes and we have a flexible working policy to support working parents and carers. We also provide support in case of family emergencies and income protection for long-term health issues.
