Since our beginning in San Francisco in 1863, Orrick has dedicated itself to two interdependent goals: serving our clients and building an enduring institution. Today, we have more than 1,100 lawyers in 23 offices worldwide working together to pursue these objectives. We are proud of the service we have delivered and the firm we have built, and we are excited about our future.
Trainees at Orrick sit four six-month seats, one of which must be a contentious seat. Seat rotations can include competition, corporate, employment, finance, litigation, real estate and restructuring.
To get acquainted with colleagues, we have regular office social activities, including drinks evenings, sports outings and trainee events.
Working at Orrick offers the benefits of a major international law firm, providing leading practices in a variety of sectors, with the opportunity for interaction in an mid-sized informal office environment.
We take up to 10 trainees per year.
When you begin your career at Orrick, you will appreciate our innovative thinking, progressive leadership and global opportunities. Your career development will include robust training, exciting and challenging work, and mentoring. You will also benefit from Orrick’s core values of collegiality, integrity, excellence, enthusiasm and respect for individuality.
If you value high quality work with skilled colleagues from diverse backgrounds and would like to be part of a firm that believes in community responsibility, then Orrick could be the place for you.
