RM Education

RM Education

RM is at the forefront of the IT-for-education market, providing hardware, software and support services to schools and colleges.

RM Education has been helping teachers to teach and learners to learn for nearly 40 years. We develop, manufacture, install and manage hardware, software, IT networks, provide services and classroom resources all specially designed for schools to help deliver inspiring engaging learning.  Schools and local authorities outsource their IT to RM Education and we also provide systems that help mark exam papers, deliver school performance data and enable access to learning platforms from home or school.

We're proud to provide the kind of products and services that make learning exciting: From software that helps a six-year old with her basic maths, to creating the world's first PC solely for schools. From providing innovative cloud-based curriculum software, to delivering regional & national IT managed services, where success is measured by improving educational outcomes.

Our 2,000 employees are dedicated to transforming classrooms into fun and effective learning spaces where our children choose how they learn; alive with the kinds of exciting technology they are used to outside school.

Staff also relish the unique company culture, which combines the intellectual and commercial problem solving you'd expect in a dynamic, results-focused business, with the sense of 'making a difference' that's very much in our DNA. It's true that many 'RM'ers' join us having never worked in education before, but whether you're in sales, marketing, IT, operations, project management or any other area, the sense of doing something that really matters is definitely tangible and maybe even contagious.

There are many things that make us great - the people, the culture and the opportunities to grow to name but a few. And it's not just us who thinks so - we've been crowned the UK's top IT employer from 2009-2010 and again in 2012, gaining excellent feedback on our company culture and rewards.

Passion, dedication, and a desire to make a difference to education, everywhere. Our people work collaboratively to create an inspiring, productive culture and we're looking for more like-minded people to join them.

As well as an understanding of our Values and the specific skills you'll need for each job (detailed in the job description), we look for proven ability in any number of the following key areas, depending on the role you're interested in:

- Problem-solving

- Planning and organising

- Creative thinking

- Team-working
