With the rapid economic development in the Kingdom, Saudi Business Machines Ltd. (SBM) was established in 1981 as the General Marketing and Services Representative (GMSR) of IBM World Trade Corporation in Saudi Arabia.
At its very essence, SBM represents the acquisition and implementation of the latest technology, for the purpose of empowerment and development. Being a witness to the early success of IBM in the Kingdom in establishing the first information-handling system for the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO), the Juffali Group recognized the need for technology solutions in a rapidly growing economy and spearheaded this visionary task in 1981, when it established SBM (Saudi Business Machines), as the nationwide General Marketing and Service Representative (GMSR) of IBM World Trade Corporation. Since then, its pool of strategic alliances has grown to encompass among others, CISCO being its largest partner in the Kingdom, SAP Practices and Lucent Technologies.
