Born in England and raised on the island Sylt in Germany, Karen has been active in the private equity & finance sector since 2006 following her studies in Mathematical Modeling/ Management Science in Cambridge. In 2010 she joined the London & Palo Alto based Venture Capital fund DN Capital in London as an Associate in the European team, after completing a one year Finance "MBA" (MFIN) in the University of Cambridge. At DN she focused on Venture and Growth investments in the Internet, Software and Digital Media space in Europe and the US. During her previous role at the global investment firm H.I.G. Capital in 2009 she raised funds for the Save the Children charity group by running 250km through the Atacama desert in Chile. More recent project include: Consulting and mentoring early stage entrepreneurs, guest lecturing in Finance at the Business School of Nottingham University China, Finance and Operations at BNT London
