I am a diligent, enthusiastic worker with high ambitions for life. I aspire to reach the top in everything I do, and strive to outperform in everything that is expected of me. I am now a first year student at Durham University studying Business; having just finished studying A-Levels in Business Studies, Psychology, and History at the school rated first in the country for GCSE grades. I believe my course offers me a diverse look over a wide range of business related matters, however, I am keen to specialise and focus on a specific sector, something I believe will be aided with experience. The opportunity to gain experience in your company will benefit my future learning by giving realism to my studies, and also giving me an indication on whether the world of marketing is indeed the one for me. The world of marketing is the one that particularly attracts me at the moment. This is due to the diverse and rapidly changing nature of the sector, and being able to see the process of brief to final result being played out in front of your eyes, and acknowledging the personal achievements in producing this result. Recently being involved in a successful local football club, I can reliably say I enjoy working as a member of a team working towards a common goal. I enjoy an active lifestyle and believe the benefits of such a lifestyle can be seen in both a positive personal outlook and superb business outcomes. I have always been one to seek out opportunities where I can make a difference, three examples of this are: being Head Boy at my secondary school, Head Prefect and also being House Captain in my new Sixth Form. I believe that the way I had been at my new school for less than a year, and had already applied to be Head Prefect is testament to my determination to not sit back and accept things the way they are, but to make changes for the betterment of the people around me in order to improve their, and my own experience. From any opportunity I may get, I hope to gain experience from those already proven to be successful to improve my potential as a student, and ultimately as a business person. I will look to input where I can, and in areas where I cannot, learn from those who have a proven track record in the competitive world of marketing and advertising. I see the opportunity as a chance to grow, to give clarification on my future. To any experience offered me I will bring an enthusiastic, youthful approach, where I can prove myself in any chance I get, thinking beyond the obvious, to aid the company in creating a truly memorable and inspiring campaign which will fulfil briefs and inspire consumers.
