Maren Hogan
BraveNewTalent Head of Marketing, US. Boot-wearer, World-Traveler, Cereal Eater, Serial Community Builder, & Awesome Sauce Con Carne.
Maren Hogan is interested in everything marketing but particularly in how it pertains to the acquisition and management of talent. (Okay, end the part where I write about myself in the third person). I love all things related to design, distribution and attraction. I've built three successful communities and served as acting CMO to multiple startups. I am currently the Head of Marketing, US for BraveNewTalent. I'm a wife of one, mother of three, sister of four, daughter of three and am passionate about too many things to list here. Among them? Writing, reading, singing, dancing, shopping, home renovation, and design of just about any ilk. California girl cum Midwestern transplant, I juggle a crazy start-up career, three boys, a German speaking husband and more ancillary projects than I can count! I lose iPhones.

BraveNewTalent, Head of Marketing, US
March 2011 to present
By focusing on what gives most value for employers and candidates, which is building talent communities, BraveNewTalent makes the concept of Talent Communities accessible and drives engagement by focusing on the RIGHT candidates instead of MORE candidates.
BraveNewTalent’s flagship product, Talent Words™, drives targeted candidates to employers’ profile pages from sources such as Facebook, Twitter, partner websites, societies, and more.
Employers have access to the professional profiles of talent who are interested in working for them, being able to engage, educate, segment, invite for events and ultimately recruit from their talent pool.
BraveNewTalent is being successfully utilised by blue chip employer brands such as leading international law firms Allen & Overy, Eversheds, and Pinsent Masons; the biotech company Abcam and the Europe’s largest retailer Tesco
The ultimate objective of BraveNewTalent goes beyond changing the recruitment industry. We believe that the world’s educational system no longer fits for purpose and there’s a growing gap between universities and employers. The expectations of employers regarding the candidates’ preparation to enter the work force, and the candidates’ expectations towards their first professional experience are rarely met.
By connecting talent to employers in a meaningful and enriching way, BraveNewTalent ultimately exists to bridge this gap, helping to solve global employability problems. The company has already been working closely with the UK government over these issues, being named a “Technology Company of Exceptional Potential”. -

Brave New Talent, Head of Marketing US, London, United Kingdom
Brave New Talent helps candidates by curating news about companies all in one place (open jobs, releases, videos, etc) thus allowing them to follow companies in their "career portfolio" in a simple, facebook integrated feed.
BraveNewTalent helps employers by allowing them to target candidates based on their social graph and invite them to an exclusive, employer-focused community, where the employer can segment, list, engage and keep interested candidates apprised of their upcoming openings. -
