. - "Development of frameworks to analyze Indian Technology Sector for short-term and long-term investment decisions"

Framework was developed for the Indian IT and Telecom companies to identify value in the balance sheet, identifying various buckets in conjunction with time frame and stages of value unlocking. This framework intends to serve an ongoing need to identify the value in the investments being done by the technology companies in technology and associated services which would lead to new growth avenues and giving rise to new asset classes, and it identified the need to value these new asset classes in a different way.

The Framework derives the value of the balance sheet using the following value bucket components - Core Business Value (Relative & DCF Valuations, Replacement Cost), Asset Value, Strategic Investments (Strategic Premium), Financial Investments, Forward and Backward Integration Options, Technology and IPR (Royalty payments, Probability of success).

This framework can be extended to several other sunrise sectors and other sectors which have historically been undervalued using traditional methods.
