Does stress or a stressful/high demanding environment actually help someone make a better decision, produce better and more efficient results? As some people perform at there best when under extreme pressure!

  I think it's important to differentiate between pressure and stress. Stress takes on a different meaning when you refer to it as describing a biological state rather than engineering.
  
  No-one thrives on stress, it is a negative state, just read the dictionary definition of stress in a biological sense http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stress_(biology). Some people do however thrive on pressure, where others experience stress under pressure.

  Subjects which are most worthy of debate are often the most controversial, but not all controversial subjects are as worthy of debate. Morals and ethics are important, but the fact that something is offensive doesn't make it worth writing about.

  Perhaps you shouldnt necessarily be trying to upset people, but you've got to be motivating people with your writing. Motivation can be negative or positive, but you're moving never the less.

  It can be both ways, indeed journalism has moral ethics to be respected....but if as a journalist you are writing to upset someone about something, it can prove to be beneficial at the end of the day. For instance, if you are writing about someone doing something bad for the society, he or she might improve his ways and actions knowing that everyone will be reading it......it is not necessary that the writing will be offensive it's just the question of passing on the news........
