Frauke Thielking, born 1977 in Minden, Mid -West Germany, first studied Teacher Education before she took up her studies in Communication Design/ Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund in 2000. In 2004 she received a scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for studying at the Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing, China. In 2006 she graduated with her work “Ready, steady, go” and gained several awards in the field of Photographic Arts. Since 2009 she is an active participant in the Internet and she works with enthusiasm and passion on mostly self-initiated projects on Twitter and Facebook. In her works she focuses on sociological, psychological and philosophical topics and questions regarding the human being that she mostly realizes in a humorous and playful way. Thielkings award-winning works have been published in renowned Quality Papers and Magazines, and she has had numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad.
