Bizarrely for someone who manages graduate recruitment - I don't have a degree! I started my career working in marketing and event planning at Deloitte for 4 years. These were the days where you could just make and appointment with an employment agency and they would actually see you rather than tell you to "visit our website"! From there on I moved in to marketing recruitment which tied in nicely with graduates. I worked for 6 years at Allen & Overy in the graduate recruitment team, first on a UK basis and then with a more international slant. After having 2 gorgeous children (both girls), I decided I needed to get back to work before it was too late! I was fortunate to get the job here at Standard Chartered and boy did I make the right choice.
