- Expedia's "Find Your Understanding" Debuts on TV during Gay Pride Month, in Advance of Supreme Court Ruling on DOMA
  
  With the importance of the Supreme Court's pending decision on DOMA and Proposition 8, Expedia is releasing its "Find Your Understanding," ad about same-sex marriage from their agency, 180LA. The video was online only when it was created back in October, but it will premier on television for the first time starting Thursday, June 6th.

I've just read this piece on how community managers can make or break brands, and I completely agree that it is completely inappropriate for a community manager to use foul language and be impolite. The tricky part is where you 'remember you represent the Brand, not yourself'. True, but I think good community managers manage to keep their personality and have a voice in the community. Tough dilemma, what do you think?

  representing the brand is available for any job.
  I think that people make the difference, so a human touch (in our case the personality) is quite important

  I think you think hard about the brand voice and you practice it first. You import a piece of yourself but the polished, professional piece (even if the voice is quirky or offbeat as that reflects the brand).

  As Ina said, I think personality is important and I don't t think community managers should put it aside for the brand.
  However, I do think community managers should embrace the core values and moralities of the brand and act by keeping them in mind all the time.
  And as Diana, I agree that being impolite is inappropriate. But where is that appropriate? Nowhere, not just in community ;)

Webcast by Terry Jones (Travelocity founder) on "Turning on innovation in your culture, teams and organization” @ProdMgntTalk prodmngt

No new concepts as such, but nicely put into context with plenty of real life examples.

I particularly liked these insights from Terry:
- Creativity is thinking up new things; innovation is doing new things, putting an idea to work
- Product management is taking a dream, giving it a deadline, getting it out of the door and shipping it to real customers and creating revenue
- Product management needs to be holistic, looking at all pieces of development, from how we are going to build and support the product, to how we are going to market and price it, and we are going to account for it
- The product manager is an orchestra leader, who can ensure the cross-functional collaboration between the diffe… Read morerent departments
- Innovation is more like jazz and people riffing together than it is a symphony; but in the end you have got to make beautiful music that people want to listen to and pay for
- Customers care about solutions, they don't care about your effort

  well... I am still looking for some motivational commercials or videos, that are life inspired (like this one), change oriented, and not so much the classic sports adds (mainly the ones with Michael Jordan).
  Something that leaves you with an amazing taste. And most important of them all I am looking for a short video that has a subject applicable in companies (as for their stressed out employees)
