I am Luke! I am part of the graduate programme at National Grid. I started in September 2011 and am currently in my second placement.

I am I achieved a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University. I started at National Grid in September 2009 as an Industrial Placement Student after passing an assessment centre. I worked as part of Gas Distribution modelling the flows and pressures of Pressure Reduction Installations. In the summer of 2010 I was accepted a place on the sponsored student scheme at National Grid for the final year of my degree. As part of the sponsored student scheme I was to attend and passed the Graduate Assessment centre. I also came back for six months while finishing my degree to continue the project I had undertook while I had been an industrial placement student. I started the graduate scheme in September 2011, and was placed in my first placement, I worked as part of a team helping to deliver a £200million project to the business. In my second placement I am assisting the supervision of 60 of our First Call Operatives in Emergency Operations.
