Rachel Hamill

My name is Rachel Hamill and I am currently studying Law at Northumbria University. I am an outgoing person and strive to be the best I can.

As an extremely enthusiastic third year law student, with a passion for pursuing a career in law, I have learned a great deal in my studies to date, including: practical research, analysis and writing skills. All of which, I am eager to put to use. I am keen to gain invaluable work experience with an esteemed law firm and feel it would benefit both the firm and myself, as I am a highly motivated individual and would be an asset to an establishment of this type. My ‘non-law’ work experience has enabled me to develop a strong sense of client service and has been a vital learning tool in developing the skills that are useful in supporting clients within your firm.  As a waitress and a member of bar staff at ‘The Palfreys Lodge’ in Doncaster I have gained a wide breadth of experience in providing service to a variety of members of the public. I am able to work under pressure and have developed excellent levels of communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills, as I am able to identify and distinguish needs of requirements. I am an excellent and confident team member as I have the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. I have this year, secured work experience shadowing within South Yorkshire Police, in a bid to gain a deeper holistic understanding of the law and the due processes within the legal system which lead to members of the public requiring the services of a solicitor and legal advisor.
