Ann Jeon

This was an internship at a commercial law firm; I was involved in writing memorandums and researches that entailed foreign jurisdictions, often either or both English and New York law. The tasks helped me to adopt an international approach to the legal matters. The work covered many areas of law.

This was the very first experience of a commercial law firm. I had an opportunity to find out the legal career as a commercial solicitor through attending seminars hosted by the firm on their practice areas, and also working on tasks involving several international parties.

I worked at the MP’s office and the major tasks were on the Knowledge Economy Commission. I wrote a Session paper on Coal Authority which involved understanding often complex interrelationships between the public and private sectors. During this placement, I also examined the legal documents and budgets of various authorities.
