The EXPLORE Graduate Program begins with an overview of who we are and what we do. You’ll be introduced to our client-centric philosophy. In addition, you’ll learn about our strategy, vision and values, the UBS brand and how we build long-term relationships. This will include an emphasis on our commitment to diversity and contribution to local communities. Practical examples will help you understand our integrated business model and culture. Then, you’ll start making plans and setting personal objectives for your development over the next two years.

Ready-for-work training

This phase of the program commences with a period of intensive learning designed to equip you with the general business and technical skills you’ll need to make a contribution. You will also gain exposure to UBS’s business model, products, clients and risk control while interacting with senior leaders from across our business.

Business-area specific initiatives

Educational subjects will reflect the activities and practices of your specific business area. You will also complete any exams and licensing requirements for your position.

Roadmaps of core courses will guide your professional development in your chosen field. You may also be assigned a mentor to guide your career path. Some businesses rotate graduates through different desks and departments to broaden their understanding and provide opportunities to explore new areas.

Graduate connections

Teamwork drives our achievements, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity during your training to make connections with graduate peers and build up a global network of contacts. Presentations, discussion groups, training sessions and social events bring graduates together across the organization to share experiences. These cross-business learning initiatives will increase your insight and give you exposure to different senior leaders in our firm.

Our leaders take a personal interest in the progress of our graduates, and they will share their views on our markets and strategic priorities in person and through formal communications.

Graduate gateway

The EXPLORE Graduate Program concludes with a celebratory event in your region. You and your peers will reflect on your achievements and prepare for the next phase of your development. The event is designed to celebrate your transition from “early-” to “mid-career” professional.
